Honeybuns are a trusted gluten free bakery dedicated to making delicious artisan treats that taste like cake, not health bars. Their established and most successful favourites include brownies, flapjacks, shortbreads and cookies. Their latest range also offers dairy free, vegan and free from refined sugar options.
Due to the great products and enthusiastic team, Honeybuns products have proven very popular with many well-known high street names, including Waitrose and John Lewis. This success has meant production space is at a premium and ProjectLink were called in to design and build a new bakery to a design that reflected Honeybuns ethos as a holistic, artisan company.
A number of initial designs were provided with this one being the preferred option. Further revisions were undertaken to ensure the design was suitable for the rural setting, including wood cladding, a sedum grass roof, sustainable drainage system, PV panels, rainwater harvesting, all of which ensured the building met with Honeybuns needs and preferences.
The building has since been approved by the planners and ProjectLink have been appointed for the construction phase.
What we did
ProjectLink provided the following works as part of the project:
- Extensive survey of the proposed site.
- Provision of topographical survey
- AutoCAD design drawings
- 3-D visualisations
What they said
“To design a building to such a specialist brief was both challenging and exciting. Our design team worked hard alongside Honeybuns to achieve an impressive result that met all the project requirements. We now look forward to the construction phase”.
